Wall Ornament

Do you hunt? Have you wondered what a Jaguar would look like mounted on the wall? Or, how about the automotive version? If you have high ceilings, strong walls and are trying to figure out where to put your old car, this might be the thing for you!

This is basically an old Jaguar that has been converted to a bookshelf. Which looks pretty cool at first, but would you really want this? I would prefer to: A) drive it aroung; B) be able to sit in it; C) be able to at least see the entire car, and not just the roof and sides. Who would want to only see the sides and top of their old Jag? Anyway, as you can clearly see, I think this is idiotic after only a few moments of consideration.

Message down below with any benefits you can think up!

TRAILER: On the Road

This is the trailer for the upcoming Film "On the Road", which is based on the book of the same name by Jack Kerouac. I don't know about you but this makes me really want to read the book. I've always been fascinated by road trip tales. In fact, I've been so fascinated by them that it has inspired me to write my own book on a similar tale.

Granted, at this point, my tales are not all that fascinating as of yet, but they get more interesting every journey I make. I will definitely be checking out this book and film, will you?

Another Superbowl Ad: Volkswagen Strikes Back

Remember a few weeks back when Volkswagen made a new Star Wars themed car commercial, but this time they had dogs in it? The car company promised that the link between dogs and Star Wars would be revealed. Volkswagen's Superbowl commercial is out and as promised it contains a dog AND a Star Wars theme:

It's like the creators of this commercial knew everyone was going to think that last year's commercial with the Darth Vader kid was much better, so they just threw in that commentary at the end to mess with us.

The Porsche 917-021

If you are a Porsche nut like me, this video will make you tingle. There are few cars that can envoke this much awe. The history, the speed, the ferocity, the sound, even the shape can make grown men weak in the knees. This car has been restored to look like it did forty years ago. There are few things I would rather do than have a go in a 917 like this.

Ok, well the music and over dubbed annoucing is somewhat lame in the video, and the car could have had better sound capture, but not bad nonetheless.

I've included another vid after the break for a bit more info on the car in case you aren't quite as familiar with 917s as you'd like to be. It is narrated by the famous Derek Bell, enjoy!
